Adddward (Edward)

Candie-gram and Sir-Pop decided to get a new kitten. So Sarah and Grace went down to Los Gatos to join them on their journey to "Edward". Only when Grace pronounces it, it sound like "Adddward". Sounds extremely cute. Anyway, they picked out a Grey-white kitten that is cute. Grace and Sir-Pop spent some time in the kitchen creating some M&M protein bars from what I can tell. Grace sure loves Candie-gram and Sir-Pop. Here are some pictures for everyone to enjoy.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend came and we went to Candie-gram and Sir-Pop's. The food was good, and we enjoyed our time down in Los Gatos. We went to the beach so Grace could play in the sand, and the dogs could run around. This is the first time Molly has been to the beach, and she was very good. Grace had fun playing in the sand, running away from the water, and getting pictures taken. We also enjoyed hanging out with Candie-gram and Sir Pop.

Apple Hill 2008

This is our second year visiting Apple Hill with Grace. Grandma and Grandpa "Buck", Uncle Mitch, Auntie Issa, and Cousin Alaina joined us as we headed up 50 to visit the apple farms.

Grace has fun walking around, eating caramel apples, and enjoying the people and music. Her favorite thing was riding the pony. She kept smiling, waving at other people, and talking to her pony.

She had lots of fun at Wofford's playing "Hide-n-Seek" with Uncle Mitch.

Kindermusik - Dance Class

Everyone knows that Grace loves to dance, and it really showed in her first dance class. She was so happy and her personality lights up when dancing. Grace became friends with two of the girls in her class and we have made plans for them to get together more often.

The class is called Kindermusik - for 2 - 3 year olds. And the focus was on learning body movement to music. She had so much fun and asked us to let her take another dance class. We are looking forward to her next class.

Family Cabin - Summer 2008

This past summer Grace got to visit the cabin up at Blairsden and hang out with Miss Bonnie and Grandpa Bill. Sarah and I were looking forward to this adventure because we knew Grace would have fun.

She got to play in the Feather River, go to the swimming hole, place pennies on the train tracks, look out over the bridge, and watch Grandpa Bill working at the Blacksmith shop. This was also a chance for her to bond with Miss Bonnie and Grandpa bill. They had a great time talking, playing, reading, and getting to know each other. It did not take long for Grace to warm up and start having full conversations with Bonnie and Bill.

We are looking forward to her next visit in the near future.

Disneyland 2008

Well it's been quite a few months since we last updated our blog. The summer went great as Grace continued to grow. She is expanding her vocabulary to a level beyond normal 2-years olds. This summer was filled with lots of outings and family activities. Camping at Collins lake, working in the yard with us, holiday celebrations, and Disneyland. Our time at Disneyland great.
On day one Grace was a little overwhelmed, but day two and three was fantastic. She got to ride the following: Tea Cups (her favorite), Peter Pan's Adventure, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion with Jack Skelington, Storybook Land, Finding Nemo, Autopia, and Winnie the Pooh's Adventure. She enjoyed all of them except Mr. Toads and Dumbo. Those we road on day one, and she was not acclimated to Disneyland.

In addition to all the rides she also got to meet lots of Disney characters. When Minnie Mouse and Goofy came out for pictures and autographs at Toon Town, Grace bolted across the park after Goofy as she wanted to get her picture with him. It was funny watching her run like mad to catch him. Sarah chased after her to make sure she would be safe. I followed with the camera and got some very good pictures of Grace and Goofy. She also got to meet Minnie Mouse, and Mickey. Her meeting with Mickey was very special as she told him after taking his picture...."I love you"....

On day two we spent 1/2 the day at California Adventures and had lunch at Ariel's Grotto. Grace got to meet Ariel, Princess Aurora, Cinderella, and Mulan. We took pictures, got autographs, and Grace gave hugs. Her favorites are Ariel and Cinderella. Later in the day we got to go on all the rides she likes, and we could tell her fears were going away. I think we rode the Tea Cups about 4X on this day. She kept yelling out...."I love this ride"....
The day/night ended with a big fireworks display that was awesome. Tinker Bell flew all around the castle more than usual, and Grace was awestruck. Her eyes got so big, and her mouth practically hit the ground while watching.

On day three we spent all day at Disneyland and that was by far the best day for her. She was the Grace we knew and had a blast. We could go on and on about the trip, but it would be best to see the pictures.

We will start updating our blog more regularly, so keep checking.

Till later....
