Disneyland 2008

Well it's been quite a few months since we last updated our blog. The summer went great as Grace continued to grow. She is expanding her vocabulary to a level beyond normal 2-years olds. This summer was filled with lots of outings and family activities. Camping at Collins lake, working in the yard with us, holiday celebrations, and Disneyland. Our time at Disneyland great.
On day one Grace was a little overwhelmed, but day two and three was fantastic. She got to ride the following: Tea Cups (her favorite), Peter Pan's Adventure, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion with Jack Skelington, Storybook Land, Finding Nemo, Autopia, and Winnie the Pooh's Adventure. She enjoyed all of them except Mr. Toads and Dumbo. Those we road on day one, and she was not acclimated to Disneyland.

In addition to all the rides she also got to meet lots of Disney characters. When Minnie Mouse and Goofy came out for pictures and autographs at Toon Town, Grace bolted across the park after Goofy as she wanted to get her picture with him. It was funny watching her run like mad to catch him. Sarah chased after her to make sure she would be safe. I followed with the camera and got some very good pictures of Grace and Goofy. She also got to meet Minnie Mouse, and Mickey. Her meeting with Mickey was very special as she told him after taking his picture...."I love you"....

On day two we spent 1/2 the day at California Adventures and had lunch at Ariel's Grotto. Grace got to meet Ariel, Princess Aurora, Cinderella, and Mulan. We took pictures, got autographs, and Grace gave hugs. Her favorites are Ariel and Cinderella. Later in the day we got to go on all the rides she likes, and we could tell her fears were going away. I think we rode the Tea Cups about 4X on this day. She kept yelling out...."I love this ride"....
The day/night ended with a big fireworks display that was awesome. Tinker Bell flew all around the castle more than usual, and Grace was awestruck. Her eyes got so big, and her mouth practically hit the ground while watching.

On day three we spent all day at Disneyland and that was by far the best day for her. She was the Grace we knew and had a blast. We could go on and on about the trip, but it would be best to see the pictures.

We will start updating our blog more regularly, so keep checking.

Till later....
